Easy to learn. Hard to stop. Your first rallies work right away, the rules are quickly understood and the fun starts with your very first match. Whether you play tennis, come from another sport or are holding a racket for the first time — after a few minutes you are right in the middle of it.
Padel is mostly played in doubles, on a court enclosed by glass and mesh walls. The special part: the walls are part of the game, making for longer rallies, surprising angles and plenty of action.
The court is smaller than a tennis court, the serve is underhand and the rules are easy to pick up. Scoring works like tennis: 15, 30, 40, game. A match is best of three sets.
Comfortable sportswear and sports shoes with a flat sole are all it takes. Shoes with a coarse tread or studs are not allowed on the courts, to protect the surface.
Rackets and balls can be rented on site from the vending machine. Just pick, grab your equipment and start playing.

From Esslingen. For Esslingen. "Then we will just build our own padel club." What was once
meant as a casual remark is becoming reality today.
Every club has its story. Ours does not begin in a meeting room, nor with a business plan. It begins on a padel court in Spain, where Grischa first came into contact with padel through a teammate. A few rallies later it was clear: this sport is addictive.
Fast, intense, full of action and above all incredibly entertaining. You are constantly in the game, you improve remarkably fast and you are on court with your friends. Exactly the mix of competition, fun and community you want from a sport.
For us, sport has always been much more than just exercise.
Many of our closest friendships were made on the sports field. Sport connects people, creates memories and brings together people from all walks of life. That is exactly why we wanted to create something that lasts. And of course this place had to be in Esslingen. This is where we grew up, where our family and friends live, where we feel at home.
With Sportpark Weil we found the perfect location. Together with SV 1845 Esslingen we are bringing one of the fastest-growing sports in Europe to Esslingen — and creating a place for connection, community and plenty of good matches.
